Meet Our Dentists
Soo Kim, DDS
Showing real understanding and a passion for patient-first dentistry.

Dr. Soo Kim is originally from Korea and has been living in the United States for more than 20 years. She met her husband during dental school and is now the mother of a beautiful girl and a happy dog.
She received her dental degree from NYU College of Dentistry and was an associate dentist in Illinois for three years.
When her daughter was born, Dr. Kim and her family decided to move to Washington. After a precious year being a full-time mom, Dr. Kim was ready to come back into dentistry with the same passion and a new perspective.
Nowadays, Dr. Kim is described by her patients as an understanding and friendly dentist who is always ready to create beautiful smiles for all.
I was raised by my mother, an artist, and my father, an orthodontist, and periodontist. For me, drawing and painting was something very natural and something I loved, so I decided to pursue a Visual Arts degree from the University of Chicago. Upon graduation, I realized that my professional desire was to help others, so I went ahead and followed my father’s footsteps to become a dentist.
What Is the Best Part of Your Job?
The rewarding feeling I get after helping patients with their dental needs and seeing a smile on their faces.
What Do You Do Outside of the Office?
Most of my free time is for my family. I love spending time with my daughter and dog, blowing bubbles, or throwing the ball. I also enjoy drawing, photography, exploring nature, and practicing yoga and Pilates.

She moved to San Antonio to pursue her dental degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center of San Antonio. She has been working as a general dentist for more than seven years now.

While I worked as a software developer, I spent a lot of time researching other careers that would be a better fit for me. I chose dentistry because it requires a unique combination of scientific knowledge and artistic ability. It also allows me to work with people on a personal level to help them improve their lives and health.
What Is the Best Part of Your Job?
What I enjoy most about dentistry is when I’m able to help patients overcome their fear of getting dental work done.
What Do You Do Outside of the Office?
My family enjoys hiking, swimming, and playing board games. I truly enjoy rowing on Lake Sammamish in the early morning hours several days a week.
